Roman Heir raised a great question: who should deem a painting finished, the artist or the beholder?
Roman Heir has been sold to a client who happened to see it in what I deemed an unfinished state. When he saw it, I had been agonising over what it was missing - I was not done with it. He saved it. From me, for himself.
In my opinion, he completed it. And I cannot be happier.
